There is an identified need for 175 Smart TVs that run applications which can make video calls, regardless of COVID-19 lockdowns, distance, or any other obstacle in the future. We have identified what specifications need to be met for the TVs, have identified vendors, and received quotes. The Veterans’ home itself will be responsible for installation and setup of the TVs. We have named this project "Operation Smart TV”.

This project has the full support of Department Commander Emmer and Auxiliary President Armstrong. Working together, this is a chance to make an impact in the lives of both the Veterans and their families. Our hope is that this statewide effort to collect donations across all Districts and Posts will allow us to raise the needed funds to make this project a success. Hopefully, the Posts will also make appeals to businesses and organizations in the communities they are located.  We would like to have the fundraising completed by the end of January. We are prepared to purchase when we meet the donation target.
